Google responds to allegations of Oracle

After allegations of Oracle about the infringement of patents, now comes the official response from Google.

From Mountain View do know that Google will defend to the teeth open standards and that the allegations are unfounded:

    We are disappointed that Oracle has chosen to attack Google and the Open Source community of Java with a lawsuit baseless; vigorously defend open-source standards and continue to work with industry to develop the Android platform
But we must remember that in 2004, Sun won a similar case against Microsoft, which Google simply will not sleep soundly.
